Gluten Free Sage and Chestnut Stuffing

  • 30g Lucy Bee Coconut Oil
  • Sprig of fresh sage leaves
  • 20g chestnuts, chopped - I use vacuum packed
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1 medium red onion, chopped
  • 2 sticks of celery, chopped thinly
  • Large handful of gluten free breadcrumbs
  • Handful of chopped dried apricots
  • 300g of gluten free sausage meat
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Pinch of grated nutmeg
  • 1 egg
  • Lucy Bee Himalayan Salt and Lucy Bee Whole Black Peppercorns, ground, to season


  1. Gently sauté the sage leaves, garlic, chestnuts, onions and celery in Lucy Bee Coconut Oil for a few minutes until soft.
  2. Take the pan off the heat and stir in the breadcrumbs and apricots.
  3. Once cooled, add the sausage meat, lemon zest, nutmeg, egg and seasoning. Mix together well with your hands.
  4. Can be stuffed in the turkey, pushed under the breast skin, or baked separately in a dish.
