Hello there, I just wanted to tell you how amazing your product is for a moisturiser!
I suffered from a fungal yeast infection on my face from being misdiagnosed with acne rosacea: I was put on 3 months of strong antibiotics which is the worst thing to do when you have a yeast infection! My face was very red, burning, covered in spots and just awful. It spread into my scalp, down my chest and back and I was miserable.
Luckily I found a doctor who believed me when I told her I had researched a lot on the internet and I believed my condition was from a fungus, not rosacea, and she immediately gave me some cream to treat it.
Although it cleared up (eventually), my skin has never been the same since; I have very sensitive skin now, and the burning started up whenever I stopped using the anti fungal cream (canesten).
During my treatment I had briefly tried a very strict diet to try and boost my skin. This involved cooking with a lot of coconut oil (lucybee!), and honestly my skin was GLOWING!! It had never been so good.
The diet slipped a bit and I am only now just really getting back into cooking with your oil, and feeling so much healthier.
But the main reason I am writing is because I started moisturising my face with the coconut oil a few months ago, and it is the only thing that soothes my skin and doesn't make it burn. I stopped using it for a few days and the burning started again, so now I am a complete convert!!
My skin looks brighter and younger and super-healthy, and I've started using it as a body lotion too!
Thank you for a lovely product that I can buy so easily at the supermarket! xxxxxx
Hi, I just thought I would let you know about how your coconut oil has helped me (and my friends). I recently developed extremely bad eczema which was driving me demented with the itching, especially on my right hand; the skin became extremely rough and thickened.
Having talked online to friends (and friends of friends) who have had eczema for a long time, all of them said that steroid creams and prescription pharmaceuticals were either ineffective for them, had side effects or made things worse. The consensus from them and other research showed three things that came up time and time again which helped: Coconut oil, Hemp oil and Aloe Vera. So, I decided to combine all 3.
I got some Lucy bee coconut oil and some "good oil" hemp oil from the food section of Sainsbury’s (Asda don't sell either of them). I then used some Aloe Vera gel (forever living for the first batch until it ran out, then the next batch I got 100% pure organic food grade Aloe Vera from biovea).
I use mostly coconut oil (gently warmed until liquid), then between 1/4 to 1/2 the amount of hemp oil, then the same again of Aloe Vera. Mix thoroughly while it's cooling to avoid separation, and it should end up like churned soft butter consistency.
If the aloe vera is liquid rather than gel and the mixture keeps separating, then a spoonful of honey acts as a natural and edible emulsifier (it makes it taste delicious as well lol!) It was amazing! The itch stopped as soon as I rubbed it in, the redness went away in hours and within a couple of days the inflammation went down and my skin was smooth again.
By the end of the week you would never know anything had been wrong with me! I put some in little tubs and gave them to my friend who has bad eczema and to my sister. More friends are asking to try it so I've has to make up another batch feel free to share on your page if you like so that others can benefit.
We tried Lucy Bee coconut oil as a body moisturiser as recommended by a friend, and what a fantastic product. You need the smallest amount that you rub together in your hands and it turns into the most lovely oil which absorbs into the skin immediately without leaving any residue.
It leaves the skin feeling very soft and with a slight smell of coconut. We are now going to order some more as my daughters all want a pot each and I will be taking some away on holiday with us in the future, not only as a moisturiser but also to condition my daughters' hair.
